Twitter Ads Are Here!

We knew this day would come! Twitter has finally started trying some text ads on for size. Right now, their ads are limited to Twitter-based content.

However, we can only imagine the revenue potential for paid ads by third parties!

The small text ads are only shown on your home page–not other Tweeters’ profile pages. Because they help the user understand Twitter’s offerings a bit better and they’re relatively unobtrusive, the ads certainly don’t hamper the user experience.
